Election 2020: NDC challenges presidential results from Ashanti Region

The opposition NDC have raised concerns over the veracity of presidential results emerging from the Ashanti Region

The NDC representative in the EC's strongroom Maj. Rtd Nunoo Mensah challenged some results that came in from the Ashanti Region.

According to him, the figures that came from the Ashanti Region were in contrast with what the NDC had.

The NDC are therefore, charging the EC to reconsider those figures before they move to the Bono and Northern Regions which were outstanding.

With the results from the Ashanti Region, the NPP lead with 1,795, 824 while the NPP had 653,149.

Some NDC supporters have marched to the headquarters of the Electoral Commission to demand the declaration of John Mahama as the winner of the just-ended polls.

According to these supporters, the EC is trying to rig the elections.
