I Have Never Been Under A Record Label - Ceccy Twum

Ceccy Twum has revealed that she has never been under any record label.

The gospel artiste, while Speaking in an interview with HitzFM’s Andy Dosty, noted that record labels have avoided her because they feel she might be too expensive to maintain.

This perception, she reckons, comes from her image on social media because of her attires and appearances based on her high taste for fashion.

"I have never been under a record label. They don’t call me. I think my personality makes them think I am expensive. They think I have it all and I could do it on my own,” she noted.

She has however been advised against running her career by herself as the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages.

Artiste manager, Ashis, takes her with employing a team capable of managing her and pushing her to greater heights professionally.

“You always need a team and management. An able-bodied team that will run for you. And you need to listen to them. And if you find a good team, hand over the career to them. You are not doing it for yourself. Then it means what God has given you you haven’t had enough of it because you are being lazy for God,” He said.

Ceccy Twum has however ruled out being managed by her husband. 

According to her, mixing business and marital affairs will never end well for the parties involved.

The gospel artiste, who is married to a pastor, explained that her husband does not know anything about managing artists and it would just cause hindrances in their marriage if any disagreements occur at work.

“Maybe he would want me to do something and I might not want it that way and that can cause misunderstanding for me. So for me, I am not for my husband managing me.

"My husband doesn’t have time to be following me so I don’t put stress on him. While he is doing his own thing, I don’t want to put pressure on him,”

This she said in an interview with Hitz FM.
