Let's give overhwelming endorsement to Dr Bawumia - NPP Regional Organizer

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart and former regional organiser for the erstwhile Brong-Ahafo region Mr Yaw Dabie Appiah has appealed to the rank and file of the party to overwhelmingly endorse vice-president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the presidential candidate for the party ahead of the 2024 elections.

According to him, Dr Bawumia gives the NPP the best chance to win the 2024 general elections and if given the chance to be the president of this country, Bawumia will give the country the needed development it deserves.

Speaking to the media in Sunyani in the Bono region Mr Yaw Dabie Appiah argued that because of his records, everybody knows that when Bawumia becomes the chief executive of the country, not subordinate to somebody, he will put things right in financial management.

He explained that Dr. Bawumia arguably has succeeded in reshaping and reintroducing into the discourse of our body-politics once again an issue based and intellectually stimulating politicking, whilest he has consistently boxed the opposition NDC, into the ‘intellectual corner’ much to their discomfort by getting them to stick to relevant issues that affect the economy.

Mr Yaw Dabie Appiah opined that, Ghana has never witnessed the kind of vibrancy, teamwork and activeness of any Vice President at least in the 4th republic as we have seen with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, his creative thinking and innovation in driving policies that seeks to place Ghana at a competitive edge among her peers is admirable.

He argued that, Dr Bawumia has distinguished himself so well both for the party and the government, he said in 2008, the NPP had only four seats in the Northern Region, in 2012, the seats increased to 10 while in 2016, the seats further increased to 12 and in 2020, the Party had 16 seats in the Region due to the influence of Dr Bawumia, stressing, he was the best candidate for the Party for the 2024 presidential election.

He posited that, It will amount to incompetence to latch him with failure as far as the delivery of our economy and other social policies are concerned, adding that, he is largely credited with leading the government’s efforts in formalising our economy through digitalization such as Ghana Card, Mobile Money Interoperability, Digital Address System, Digitization of Passport Application, Births And Deaths Digitization, Drones and Delivery of Medical Supplies Paperless Ports, Digitization of Football Ticketing, Ghana card as a travel Document, Mobile Renewal of the NHIS Membership among others
