The Western North Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. William Benjamin Assuah, has extended the initiative of providing smartphones to serial callers at Sefwi Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency. The initiative started with serial callers in the Sefwi Wiawso constituency. He said this is not for the purpose of his re-election, as some people may assume.

Addressing the serial callers, Mr. Assuah emphasized that, knowing the role that serial callers play, and considering the fact that they are not induced, he thought it necessary to support them by buying smartphones for them.

He also pledged to provide the 80 serial callers in the region with monthly airtime packages, as a way of acknowledging their contributions to the party.

Mr. Assuah further had an extensive discussion on job opportunities for serial callers, after which he admonished them to stomach nuisance and also do their political work devoid of insults and mockery of all forms.

The Regional Communication Director, Mr. Felix Foster Ackah, now a presidential staffer also touched on the manner in which party works are done. Using himself as a benchmark, he indicated that despite his unfruitful attempts in becoming a Municipal Chief Executive, he did not go about blaming and tarnishing the image of the party and party folks. Instead, he kept calm and continued his work, which has ultimately earned him a presidential staffer.

The Regional Organizer and Regional Research Officer, Mr. Samuel Adu-Agyei, and Mr. Bright Appiah respectively urged the people to keep their focus and join forces as we approach next elections.

The serial callers expressed their gratitude and thanked the Regional Chairman for recognizing their efforts and coming to their aid.
