The kingmakers of Nsoatre Traditional Council on Friday, October 15, enstooled a new chief under the stool name Nana Obrempong Agyei Korang Kusi III and officially introduced him to the Queen Mother of Nsoatre Traditional area.

The Kingmakers, Saanahene, Nifahene, Benkumhene, Kronkonhene amongst other chiefs together with some elders visited the queen Nana Yaa Asuamah Kese II at Asokwa in the Ashanti region to formally introduce the Chief.

The Acting President who doubles as the Nifahene of Nsoatre traditional council Nana Amoah Appiah II, explaining their purpose of the visit disclosed that time was due to present the new Chief to the queen mother, Nana Yaa Asuamah Kese II after a successful coronation.

He thanked the queen's mother for her immense support towards the enstoolment of the chief.

The queen-mother confirmed that she was the one who chose Nana Obrempong Agyei Korang Kusi III for the position as the Nsoatre Manhene hence the need to disregard anyone imposing himself as the Chief of Nsoatre.

Nana Obrempong Agyei Korang Kusi III expressed gratitude to the queen and kingmakers for choosing him and pledged to make development his focus as Nsoatre township is lacking behind.

He promised to implement responsive and accountable governance in an open-door leadership style that would allow key stakeholders to work together towards development. 

The new Chief, known in private life as Foster Agyei Korang, is a former NHIS Regional Manager for then Brong Ahafo Region and is happily married with children.
