News reaching Soiree News indicates that six Journalists have escaped death after a horrific car accident in the Eastern region.

The accident occurred on the evening of  Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Adim River when they were returning from a press conference at Akyem Akokoaso in Akyemansa District of the Eastern Region during a heavy pour in the area.

The Journalists that were onboard the Toyota Matrix car are Michael Akrofi (Eastern Regional Correspondent for Peace FM), Jessie Amankwah of UTV, Kojo Ansah (Eastern regional Correspondent for EIB Network ), Neil Nii Kenaku, Eastern Regional Correspondent for Citi FM/Citi TV, Emmanuel Pacome of Daily Graphic, and Kwasi Azor (Eastern Regional Correspondent for Adom FM/Adom TV ).

The source revealed that the vehicle was not at a top speed, but the driver in an attempt to swerve a pothole lost control of the steering wheel and resulted in the accident.

The information continued, that the vehicle incidentally veered off the road, turned to the opposite direction as it dragged towards the Adim river but fortunately blocked by a huge pipeline in a violent state just on the edge of the bridge.

The traumatized Journalists quickly moved out of the car to safety as residents troop to the scene to ascertain the cause of the accident.

Nobody was however hurt or injured, even though some begun to give glory to the Lord, but the story would have been different if the car fell into the river.

With the support of residents and a tipper truck, they were able to pull the vehicle back on the road and to safety.
