Tipper Truck Drivers Announce New Prices
Tipper Truck Drivers have announced an upward adjustment of their service charge with an immediate effect.
According to the National Tipper Association, the move has been necessitated by the continuous increment in the prices of petroleum products and spare parts which was negatively impacting on their business.
The members of the association stated that they risk a total collapse of their business without the increment.
They pointed out that the recent continuous hikes in the prices of fuel, spare parts and vehicle maintenance is negatively affecting the smooth running of their business.
They stressed that it has gotten to a point where they have no other option apart from adjusting upwards their service charge.
Addressing a press conference in Kasoa, the National Chairman of the association, Mr Kadri Inausah said per increment, developers within Madina, Adenta and Legon will now pay GH¢ 2,400 for fine sand, GH¢ 2,800 for stones and GH¢ 3,000 for quarry dust.
Delivery to other areas also have their respective increment rates.
For his part, the Central Regional Chairman of the association, Mr Yaw Kwakye appealed to all customers to adhere to the new prices.
He pointed out for the past six (6) years, there hasn't been any adjustment in their service but fuel prices keep on increasing and that it is time to adjust it with immediate effect.
