I condemn the violent invasion position the leaders of ECOWAS came to Accra to take instead of adopting a diplomatic or peaceful dialogue approach.

For ECOWAS to wrongly invade Niger because of the military might or power will amount to a double wrong as the bloodless takeover of the military junta.

Justifying its position, ECOWAS observed that, the military junta toppled a democratically elected president who they are not interested in knowing the root cause of why the bloodless coup took place but are just interested in installing a rejected president for the people of Niger.

In my sincere view, ECOWAS must know what brought about the coup to be able it make a genuine decision in taking a beneficial decision, not only in the interest of the president but also in the interest of peace and security of the citizens of Niger.

The question here is; What is the difference between an elected president who is insensitive to the hardship, suffering, poverty, and hunger of his citizens who are languishing in hunger to death?

Many of these people are even in Ghana, holding scissors, iron bars, and cutting fingernails for a living as a way of seeking greener pastures in Ghana than staying in Niger and dying of starvation, suffering, and hunger.

Another question is whether ECOWAS has no iota of care to find what made the people of Niger see Ghana as a better place to live rather than their own country Niger.

Why does ECOWAS rather want to fight the military junta which most of the citizens of Niger see as their savior fighting to reduce starvation, hardship, suffering, and hunger? Again, if ECOWAS think it is wrong for the junta to use BLOODLESS COUP to destool a failed and corrupt elected president who presides over his country while France, their colonial master continually exploits every natural mineral resource at the expense of the development and growth of Nigeriens.

Don't you think it's equally wrong for ECOWAS to wage war on a sovereign country fighting for the prosperity, betterment, and growth of its citizens? I honestly think we must watch who is legally right in the face of human rights and constitutional violations than who is stronger in military might.

This is because two wrongs certainly do not make right and the ECOWAS' position can never be right either.

I rest my case with humility and every respect but I maintain that it is wrong to descend on Niger.
