Mafi Dove Health Centre: Heavily Sick Patients Have Stranded At the Facility Without Nurses & Doctors To Attend To Them
There is growing tension in Mafi Dove in the Central North District of the Volta Region between the residents and workers of Mafi Dove Health Centre.

This development follows the medical negligence of the nurses and doctors at the primary health facility, Soireenews.com has gathered.
According to reports, hundreds of heavily sick patients were reported to have been stranded at Mafi Dove Health Centre on Sunday August 20,2021 without the nurses and doctors to attend to them.

Although the health providing facility was opened to the public on Sunday August 20, 2023, all the doctors and nurses are off-duties.

There is no security person providing security for the whole health centre which was originally meant to be a CHPS compound is now almost serving the purpose of a full-blown hospital.

Strangely, information available to Soireenews. com also indicates that there is one woman who has given birth to a new baby boy who is on admission at the facility without even a nurse and doctors to attend to her.

For some years now, the operations of Central North District have sparked series of protests by the patients in towns and villages within the catchment area of the facility for many of the residents labelling the hospital as evil.
Against this backdrop, Mr. Adu warned Newmont and its agents to stay off properties of his members.

“We are equally calling on the Ghana Health Service to immediately call management of the facility to order! Failure on the part of management of the health facility and the Ghana Health Service to heed our call will compel us to use all legitimate means to fight against the workers of the facility,” the residents emphasised.
