Weija-Gbawe  MCE Denies  Eyeing of MP Seat In 2024 Elections

The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) in the Greater Accra Region, Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, has stated categorically that he is not interested to contest the  Weija-Gbawe Constituency Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.

The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) in the Greater Accra Region, Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, has stated categorically that he is not interested to contest the  Weija-Gbawe Constituency Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.
The hardworking MCE was responding to the   the wide spread media reports of contesting 2024 parliamentary election.
In a rejoinder copied to Soireenews. com, it noted that attention of the office of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA) to a link on social media with the above caption.
The one-page rejoinder pointed out that Me Kumor, takes an exception to his name being used in a purported poll which he has no inkling of.
According to the rejoinder the MCE has not, by word or deed, implied or exhibited any aspiration to being elected as the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2024.
The rejoinder asserted that per the NPP's regulations, a Municipal Chief Executive  can not contest as a Parliamentary Candidate in a constituency where there is a sitting Member of Parliament (MP). 
"Honourable  Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor would like to state, emphatically that he is committed to working together with the current Member of Parliament (MP), Honourable Tina Gifty Naa Ayele Mensah, to break the 8 in the next general elections," the rejoinder stressed.
The rejoinder called on the general public
to disregard such links as they do not foster unity.
