Wenchi: 27 Year Old Woman Found Dead In Her Room

A 27-year-old woman, Afia Cynthia has allegedly been murdered in her room at Koase in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region.

The body of her body was discovered Saturday, April 16, 2022, in her room by her landlady when she decided to give Cynthia food.

Kwasi Ankomah, father of the deceased said his brother call his cell phone to inform him that his daughter had been found dead in her room.

According to Mr. Kwasi Ankomah, he was accompanied to the house by his brother-in-law to witness it himself.

When we got there I could not enter the room it is my brother - In-law who entered the room.

Before my daughter's met her untimely death his fiance Frank tore her clothes and brought them to the police station and lodged a complaint and they gave us a number to call them when we found him for them to come to arrest him.

Mr. Kwasi Ankomah said the case has been reported to the Wenchi Police.

Mr. Kwasi Ankomah suspects Frank his daughter's fiance to be the mastermind of the murder of Cynthia.

The body has been deposited at Wenchi Methodist hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

On his part, Kwadwo Twum who accompanied the deceased father to the scene said when they entered the room the victim was found lying in the blood of poll dead nicked on the floor while her child was seen beside her.

Afia Cynthia died behind three (3) children.

No arrest has been made at the time of filing the report, DSP. Mr. Eric Avudzivi, the Wenchi Municipal Police Commander has said

The police have commenced investigations into the incident.
