Wenchi: Assembly Member Cries Over lack of Social Amenities

The Assembly Member for Asanpu Electoral Area in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region, Hon. Kuurinaa James is appealing to government through the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, Member of Parliament, NGOs and other philanthropists to come to the aid of his electorates to assist them with basic social amenities.

The Assembly Member for Asanpu Electoral Area in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region, Hon. Kuurinaa James is appealing to government through the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, Member of Parliament, NGOs and other philanthropists to come to the aid of his electorates to assist them with basic social amenities.

In an interview with Soiree News Nana Anfreh Damanata, the Assembly Member said amenities such as electricity, boreholes, health facilities, poor road network, school feeding among others are not available in the area.
“Lack of these basic social amenities has been affecting our daily lives”,he lamented.

“Initially our road was in a deplorable state but our MP in a few days ago awarded it on a contract for it's reshaping while the MCE in a two months ago also fixed some boreholes in some of the villages”,  Hon. Kuurinaa James explained.

He further explained that villages such as Amenam, Adwee, Kyebi Nkwanta, Kankle, Menpeasem do not have boreholes hence his call.
“Also, we do not have a CHPS Compounds here and due to that, if someone fall sick we find it very difficult to rush the sick person to hospital for treatment”,  the Assembly added.

He indicated that at times they used motor King to convey  sick persons whiles the poor nature of the road  makes it extremely difficult for the movement of human beings and goods from the aforementioned villages to the nearby communities.
The Assembly Member narrated that the challenges in his electoral area are high and added that the challenges needs urgent action.

Hon. Kuurinaa James again appealed to government to include the Asanpu M/A Basic School in the school feeding programme to improve enrollment.

He is as such, appealing to government to come to their aid as early as possible to fix the challenges with the immediate effect.
