THE Obuasi Brahabebome Independent Primary School in the Obuasi East District of the Ashanti Region has been closed down due to a severe assault meted out to a professional female teacher, Miss Abu Mariama by an aggrieved parent, Madam Latifa who is married Muslim woman.

According to information gathered by Soireenews.com, the incident happened on early Tuesday November 29, 2022 where  Madam Latifa invaded the premises of school to assault a primary three female teacher, Madam Abu Mariama for beating her ward, Micheal Obeng who is 13-year-old.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com via telephone call Wednesday November 30, 2022, the victim, Abu Mariama said she saw a class four pupils ridding a bicycle on campus whiles lesson was going on.

According to Abu Mariama, she confisticated the bicycle and kept it at the store room and only realized that the child has taken the bicycle so she flogged him two canes.
She pointed out that the boy refused the third cane and broke the cane into two after that he went home to call her mother.
The mother of Michael Obeng came and just entered the class room and started slapping the female teacher.
The Muslim woman used her sharp ear rings to scratch the face of the teacher resulting into bleeding.
After the attack on her by Madam Latifa, the female teacher later rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
In this sense, the headmistress of Obuasi Brahabebome Independent Primary School, Madam Samuel Aku Ocraa was said to have reported the matter to the police. 
 
Following the report, the woman has been arrested by police and processed before the Obuasi Circuit Court in the Ashanti Region.
The case which was tried on Wednesday November 30, 2022 was adjoined to December 7, 2022 for the parties to reappear before the court.
Meanwhile, the case was to have been officially reported to the Obuasi East Assembly Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES).
