The Greater Accra NDC Regional Chairman
of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has advised the electorates in Krowor and constituencies in the entire region against voting 'skirt and blouse' in the 2024 general election to give their next coming President,Mr John Dramani Mahama and the NDC as a party adequate representation in Parliament.

"The situation where some of the supporters and members of the party would be saying that l like this man and l don't this man and that they would sort to campaign against the candidate that they don't like, l think that it is a high time for that practice to stop in our body politics," he warned.
In the face of threats by a section of NDC  supporters in the region to vote "skirt and blouse" in the 2024 general elections, Mr Ashie Moore warned against such a move, saying it could ruin the chances of the NDC winning massively in both Presidential and parliamentary elections in 2024 in the Greater Accra Region.

The NDC GAR Chair said that all the pockets of dissent should give way to dialogue in the supreme interest of the NDC, assuring that they are confident to increase the party’s seats in Parliament from 20 to 25 in the 2024 elections.
The NDC won 20 of the 34 parliamentary seats in the Greater Accra Region in the 2020 general election, and according to Mr Ashie Moore, their target for 2024 was to win a minimum of 25 parliamentary seats and the presidential votes.
He said that 'politics is all about numbers and every single vote is important and must be mobilised in order to ensure a resounding victory for the NDC and its Presidential Candidate, Mr. Dramani Mahama.
Skirt and Blouse voting is the practice where a section of the electorate decide to vote for the Presidential candidate of his/her party but vote for a  Parliamentary candidate of a different party, or vice-versa.

According to Mr Ashie Moore who double as the former Adenta Member of Parliament (MP) the nature of Ghana’s politics required the President to have adequate representation in Parliament for easy passage of bills and legislative instruments to make his work easier.
He stated that those claiming to be party loyalists and stalwarts and yet asking for a vote for Member of Parliament for Krowor,  Madam Agnes Naa Momo Lartey and not the Flagbearer of the NDC, former President John Dramani Mahama were only out to undermine the fortunes of the party.
He said having a Member of Parliament (MP) like Madam Agnes Naa Momo Lartey who is highly regarded by him could bring about significant development projects to the Constituency.
"This should be a source of encouragement to the people to vote the NDC parliamentary candidates into office," he explained.
Mr Ashie Moore gave the advise when he joined the NDC fraternity of the Krowor Constituency's Thanksgiving Ceremony on Sunday  June, 4 2023.
The colorful event was organized by the PC/MP of the constituency, Madam Agnes Naa Momo Lartey and the constituency executive Committee to say thank you to God for the recent peaceful and incident free parliamentary and presidential elections.
The NDC as a party and the Krowor  Constituency went to polls to elect both their parliamentary and presidential candidates.
It is on record that the elections went on successful in all the 275 constituencies across Ghana without any incident. So the NDC fraternity in Krowor have every reason to gather as one family to say  Thank You to God Almighty.
The occasion was flooded by party people across the rank and file of the NDC party as well as some high profiled personalities outside the political space.
