A statement issued and copied to Soireenews has announced for the information of the general public especially residents of Ahafo that the Regional Minister Honourable George Boakye will participate in the Green Ghana Project commencing tomorrow, Friday 11th June 2021.

The Minister will join the Omanhene of Goaso Traditional Area, Nana Akwasi Bosompra I, Chief Director of the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council, Mr Ebenezer Amoah, the Regional Manager of the Forestry Commission in Ahafo, Mr Bennett Ntiamoah, all workers of the forestry commission in Ahafo and members of the general public to plant trees tomorrow.

As part of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's vision to make Ghana green again, five million (5,000,000) free seedlings of assorted trees shall be made available in the various offices of the forestry commission across the country for Planting.

The Regional Minister, Honourable George Boakye however, wishes to urge all residents in the Ahafo Region, both individuals and institutions to fully participate in this important exercise from tomorrow in order to rebuild our flora and fauna.
