Infuriated Residents of Dannso in the Bosome Freho district of the Ashanti region have raised red flags against illegal mining activities in the community.
The protesters claim Galamseyers have destroyed their farmlands as well as the Asiwa forest and will therefore not sit for the canker to prevail.

The angry residents who made wild allegations in an interview with Soireenews.com on Christmas Eve stated that, their chief Nana Kyei Poku, Mr. Yaw Danso DCE for Bosome Freho and some NPP executives are behind the illegalities.

The angry residents cladded in red around their heads wore red shirts in a serious demonstration revealed that they were ready to shed their blood against the destruction of their precious farmlands water bodies and forest.

They chanted that “the illegal mining must stop now else we will kill anyone who will disobey our orders”.

"Our only source of water bodies, reserved forest, cocoa farms have been destroyed by these heartless people. They must stop the illegal practice else we’ll kill them," the angry residents threatened.
