Two persons have been remanded into police custody for raising false manhood disappearance alarm.

The two, Anthony Akwlegah shop attendant aged 25, and Emmanuel Boadi, trader aged 24 were remanded into police custody to enable police to conduct thorough medical examinations on the condition of their penises.

The court presided over by His Honour Mr. Simon Nketiah Gaga adjourned the case to 30-04-24 for their respective pleas to be taken.

Charged on two counts of publication of false news with intent to cause fear and alarm contrary to section 208 of the Criminal Offenses Act,1960(Act 29) on count one.

On count two, however, the duo were charged with offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace: contrary to section 207(1) of the Criminal Offences Act,1960(Act 29).

Prosecution; reading the brief fact as investigated by Number 48598 D/CPL. Dennis Dzometsi told the court that the complainant, Sumaila Abudu aged 24 a scrap dealer who resides in Jericho, a suburb of Ashaiman whilst the accused persons; Anthony Akwlegah(A1), a 25-year-old shop attendant who resides at Dawhenya while Emmanuel Boadi, a trader and resides at Klagon, Tema.

DSP Mrs Dorothy Boadu Peprah further recounted to the court that on 14-04-24 at about 0430 hours, the complainant who visited his female friend at Ashaiman Tsinagbe got stranded and sought assistance from A1 but could not get same and decided to shake hands with A1 and left.

A1 later confronted the complainant alleging that his manhood had stopped functioning after he shook hands with him.

The complainant upon sensing danger ran to seek refuge at A2's shop at Ashaiman main station.

But A1 chased the complainant and spotted him at A2's shop.

A1 then informed A2 that his manhood had begun to malfunction after the complainant shook hands with him.

Subsequently, A2 also alleged that the complainant touched him too, and had lost the functioning of his manhood.

A1 and A2 confronted the complainant and demanded the restoration of their manhood or else they were not going to free him.

A1 and A2 raised an alarm attracting bystanders to the scene which ended them at the police station.

After investigations, the accused persons were charged with the offenses and put before the honorable court.
