Atebubu Chief Suspended for Fighting a Colleague Chief at Bush.

Atebubu Traditional Area in the Bono East region has suspended the "Gyasewaa" of the traditional area, Nana Agyenim Boateng for gross disrespect to the tradition and customers in the area.

The suspension took effect on 3rd June 2022, and he is not allowed to carry out himself or function as the "Gateway" of the Atebubu Traditional Area on behalf of the area.

According to the chief linguist, Nana Appiah Gyan, the suspended chief, Nana Agyenim Boateng was caught in the bush fighting his colleague chief which according to them is a serious taboo for a chief to fight in the bush.

He added that the traditional council has invited him several times to come for purification by the gods but has refused to come and therefore needs to be suspended.

He said, two sheep were slaughtered by the gods to purify the land because his actions were a gross disrespect to the traditional authorities in Atebubu.
