Gareth Bale’s two years remaining contract would be cut short to pave way for his exit from La Liga.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the former Spurs player is on Madrid’s player transfer list this summer following his exhausting relationship with manager, Zinedine Zidane.

Los Blancos will pay 50 percent of Bale’s salary to grant his wish to move away from the Bernabeu. The Welsh man who is contracted to the club until June 30, 2022, is said to earn £600,000 a week before tax. When you tot up the weekly figure from the new contract extension in 2016 until 2022, it comes to almost £110m without bonuses - and £18.2m a year on that six-year deal, Wales online revealed.

He is been monitored by Manchester United and his Jose Mourinho of Spurs, his former side yet Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s offer seems more promising to lure the winger to Manchester.

Bale discussed last week in an interview with Sky Sports that Real Madrid have jammed his every attempt to leave the club. He revealed that a return to the Premier League would be welcomed if Madrid allows him to leave.

"I tried to leave last year but they blocked everything at the last second,” Bale told Sky Sports.

"It was a project I was excited for but it didn't materialize.

"There have been other instances where we have tried to go but the club won't allow it or they've done something.

"It's down to the club.

"I want to play football, I am still motivated to play football, so I guess it's on the club.

"They are in control of everything.

"I have a contract, all I can do is carry on what I am doing and hopefully something comes up.

"I am only 31 still but I feel I am in great shape still and feel like I have a lot to give.

"We will see what happens.

"It's in the club's hands but they make things very difficult to be honest."
