Banda: Cashew Kia falls in Tome Bridge, causing huge traffic

A Kia rhino loaded with cashew fell atop the Tomeh bridge near Banda Saabie in the Banda District of the Bono Region. The fallen king rhino blocked access inward the road. There were no personnel of the Motor Traffic and Transport Directorate of the Ghana Police Service to manage the the the traffic situation at the scene as at the time filling the report.

A Kia rhino loaded with cashew fell atop the Tomeh bridge near Banda Saabie in the Banda District of the Bono Region.

The fallen king rhino blocked access inward the road.

There was no personnel of the Motor Traffic and Transport Directorate of the Ghana Police Service to manage the traffic situation at the scene as at the time filling the report.

Meanwhile, the government has awarded the road to a contract to replace the wooding bridge with a modern steel bridge to ensure smooth movement by motorists.

When Soiree News Nana Anfreh Damanata visited the scene the contractor was not at the site.

Further investigations revealed that the contractor has abandoned the project so many years ago.

The inhabitants of the are thus called on authorities to search for the contractor working on the steel bridge to come back to the site and complete the project to avoid future occurrences.
