Bawumia’s Senseless Gold-For-Oil Initiative Failed; Don’t Trust Him Anymore--Dr. Solomon Owusu Jabs

THE Mining Engineering and Mineral Economics Consultant, Dr. Solomon Owusu, has taken a swipe at the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia for wasting the tax payers' money on unnecessary investments and initiatives which have not brought any profit to the country.

Mincing no words Dr Owusu asked that what happened to the Gold-for-Oil initiative Vice President has brought on board?

He asked that couldn’t it stabilize the cedi and reduce fuel prices as promised by Bawumia? 

"I said it on different platforms, radio interviews and personal conversations that the gold-for-oil deal was useless and senseless," he jabbed.

According to him, Dr. Bawumia didn’t think through and apply wisdom to the implementation of that illogical and ridiculous policy.*

He asked that "How can Bawumia convince Ghanaians that he will use the gold again to stabilize the cedi, if we vote for him to become the President?

"As the current head of economic management team of this government, what is preventing him from stabilizing the cedi with gold now but waiting till 2025? he further asked.

"What is preventing Bawumia from applying his so-called knowledge and experience in economics to stabilize the cedi and address the economic challenges that the country is facing? ,he asked.

He told eligible voters that they should say a big NO to Bawumia, stressing that he can’t scam Ghanaians with sweet talks and lies anymore.
