He made this statement at University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) Tarkwa in the Western Region during the school 7th Innovation and Career fair 2023 with the theme " THINK SMART AND BE INNOVATIVE.."

Director of Innovation for National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) Mr. David Ofori has advised university students and graduates in Ghana to think of becoming job creators and not seekers of jobs after their studies.
He noted that the university is the best place to study to be Innovative and think around the box to create something meaningful 
He made this statement at University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) Tarkwa in the Western Region during the school 7th Innovation and Career fair 2023 with the theme " THINK SMART AND BE INNOVATIVE."
According to him,by entrepreneurship support ,the university of mines and technology students cannot complain looking at partnership and network of companies around the area and students should take advantage and be Innovative towards to create something for the entire country 
Adding that looking at the lecturers and practical incubator hub at the campus the students have no excuse to fail and should be discipline to become innovative and job creators and not job seekers 
Pro Vice Chancellor University of Mines and Technology Professor Anthony Simons added that the institution will do it best to push the innovators to the higher level  to secure them a job in the future.
The leader of the winning team for the fair Miss Elizabeth Acheampong of the Electrical and Electronic Department called on government that they have an idea to turn old wheels of disable chair supplied across the country to electronic that the people does need support to push
