Despite the fact that Samini didn't discover me, he gave me the exposure I required for my career, says Kofi Kinaata
Martin King Arthur, better known by his stage name Kofi Kinaata, has commended Samini, a MOBO Award-winning artist, for the role he played in his musical career while acknowledging that Samini wasn't responsible for his discovery as a musician.
During a recent interview with Blakk Rasta on 3FM's #UrbanBlend, Kofi Kinaata expressed his sincere gratitude for the significant influence Samini had on his ascent to popularity.
Kofi Kinaata, a native of Takoradi in the Western Region, looked back on his early career and highlighted the pivotal time when he joined the High-Grade Family, a well-known music group, while still relatively unknown.
Kinaata had the honor of traveling with Samini, a well-known name in the Ghanaian music scene, at this time.
Kinaata said, "The discovery word, I don't understand it, but Samini has been incredibly useful to my career.
The affiliation helped Kinaata gain popularity and support quickly thanks to Samini's already-existing fan base. Kinaata's fan base grew rapidly as Samini's supporters warmed to him.
"When no one knew me, I was signed up to the High-grade family. They were aware of Samini, so when I accompanied him, his supporters became into my admirers by default, he said.
Additionally, Samini was essential in bringing Kofi Kinaata to bigger audiences and platforms.
The 'EffiaKuma love' cronner recalled a special day when he had the chance to play on stage at a noteworthy event involving worldwide singer Chris Brown. Samini's support allowed Kinaata's talent to be seen by a larger public, thus advancing his career.
"What Samini did for me was give me a lot of exposure," Kinaata said. The well-known performer went above and above to get Kinaata performance slots, even for events where he wasn't initially slated to appear.
