Disregard Mischievous Agenda And Personal Vendetta Against Francis-Xavier Sosu–14 Assembly Members In Madina Fire Back

A TOTAL of fourteen (14) out of fifteen (15) Assembly members in the Electoral Area for Madina Constituency of the Greater Accra Region have broken the silence by distancing themselves from the spurious media publication attributed to the Assembly members that they have attacked the integrity of the Member of Parliament  (MP) for Madina Constituency, Honourable Francis-Xavier Sosu.

According to the assembly members, they had not sanctioned any media publication to be done to accuse their hardworking MP of not lending support to the assemblymen in the Madina constituency who are aligned with the National Democratic Party (NDC) in the just-ended District Assembly level election.

They indicated that their attention has been drawn to a spurious and absurd publication authored by a faceless group claiming to be disgruntled "Assembly members "of Madina who allege that they were neglected by the MP in his roles in the just-ended District Assembly level elections.

In a separate interview being conducted by Soireenews.com to authenticate the fact of the matter, all the 14 assembly members have denied their knowledge about the publication and stated that by all indications the group does not exist neither has anybody owned up to the wild allegations put out against the MP.

However, some of them were quick to tell Soireenews.com that their checks have indicated that the said publication was being fueled by one disgruntled Assembly member for Ayi Mensah Electoral Area, Honourable Peter Kudjoe Gey, saying that he is the only Assembly member who is an ardent MP critic.

They pointed out that accusing the lawmaker of not supporting the assemblymen in the Madina constituency who are aligned with the National Democratic Party is certainly untrue and another mischievous agenda against the MP.

"We are stressing that these allegations levelled against our humble, hardworking, unifier submissive, selfless and approachable MP are calculated attempts hatched by the Honourable Peter Gey who has currently joined the forces of the disqualified NDC parliamentary candidate hopeful for Madina, Mr Prince Moses Zakaria, to tarnish the image of the Honourable Sosu. And that it is a high time for the leadership of the NDC to Honourable Peter Gay and his followers to order," the Assembly stressed.

Calling on the residents of Madina and the general public to disregard the mischievous agenda and personal vendetta against Honourable Sosu, the Assembly members indicated that there is no fracas between them and their hard-working MP over his roles in the recently concluded district levels election except the Assemblyman of Ayi Mensah who has been fighting the MP because of his personal hatred.

They asserted that the disgruntled Assemblyman for Ayi Mensah has even gone to join the forces of the disqualified NDC parliamentary candidate hopeful for Madina, Mr Prince Moses Zakaria, who announced his readiness to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 elections to let the current NDC MP lose the seat.

They described Honourable Sosu as a good, submissive, selfless and hard-working MP the Madina has ever had in its political history, saying that before the  2023 District Assembly elections, the MP had personally supported and given undisclosed amounts of money to all the assembly member aspirants who are members of the NDC in Madina.

They revealed that even the Ayi Mensah Electoral Area was contained in the list of the various electoral areas in Madina which have equally benefited from the various humanitarian initiatives the MP has lent to the assembly member aspirants in Madina constituency who are aligned to NDC in the just ended District Assembly level elections.

"The leadership of the NDC in the area including the senior members of the party in Madina, particularly the former MP of the area, Honourable Alhaji Amadu Sorogho should play a leading role to ensure the continuous attacks on the MP must stop now to bring peace and united within the party to win the seat for the NDC in the 2024 general elections," the further advised.

They pointed out that Madina Constituency Executives led by their Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Faila Fusseini in his congratulatory message to all hardworking assemblymen for the emphatic victory after the Assembly election sincerely thanked their MP, Lawyer Sosu for providing support to the various assembly aspirants.

They stated that the various support initiatives or packages the MP has lent to the various electoral areas within the constituency were being captured in the press statement the Madina Constituency executives led by its Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Faila Fusseini to thank the Assembly members for their victory.

They noted that the MP has worked with the Assembly members and stakeholders to bring the needed development to the area, saying that the MP has been performing his tasks to the expectations of the constituents.

They added that MP records and achievements in the areas of health, education, water, social welfare, roads, street lights, sanitation, and sports among others are well known throughout the constituency and “so, it is absolutely incorrect that, these self-seek people had accused the MP for neglecting Assembly members.

They indicated that the MP himself has given the assurance that he remains dedicated to serving and assisting the people under his jurisdiction to the best of his ability

The assembly assembly members stressed the urgent need for Alhaji Amadu Sorogho and other influential members and supporters of the NDC in Madina to campaign vigorously for the incumbent MP to retain the seat for the party in the 2024 showdown.

They indicated that the various donations being made by the MP have largely contributed to the efforts of the Assembly aspirants who are members of the NDC to win all the 15 electoral seats in Madina and that the current victory is first in kind in the political history of Madina.

The Soireenews. com has itemized the various support initiatives the sitting MP has given to the Assembly members and Assembly aspirants before the just-ended District Assembly level election.

However, all the Assembly members and Assembly aspirants of Madina interviewed by soireenews.com have separately confirmed and expressed their appreciation to Honourable Sosu.
