The Dormaa central Assembly has distributed several items to 34 Persons with disabilities (PWDs), in the municipality to enhance their livelihoods.

The items which include deep freezers, roofing sheets, clothes among others were purchased from the share of the District Disability Fund.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Dormaa central municipality,  Hon Iddrissah Outtarrah who presented the items announced that the disbursement of the PWD's share of the Common Fund was part of the government’s intervention to ensure that every individual Ghanaian becomes self-reliant.

He stated that individual beneficiaries had made requests to the Assembly for the items they needed and the assembly purchased for them.

He advised the beneficiaries to make good use of them to earn a living, instead of depending on others all the time and also use the items for their intended purpose.

Some of the beneficiaries commended the government and the Assembly for the gesture and assured them that they will put them to good use to better their lot.
