Police School 600 Pupils  In Nine Schools In Ho On Sexual Assault Issues
Nine schools have so far benefited from an ongoing police campaign against defilement.

The team was at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Basic and Henry International Schools on Tuesday, March 29, 2022
During the interaction, some pupils expressed concerns over what becomes their fate when their breadwinners get incarcerated for defiling them.
Their concerns follow Police’s admonition to pupils to report sexual abusers for necessary police action.
In her response, the Deputy Volta Regional coordinator for DOVVSU, ASP Juliana Wiah, encouraged the pupils to still do so as she explained that whenever a parent is involved the DOVVSU collaborates with the Social Welfare Department to take care of them.
She further advised them not to entertain excuses in reporting such cases as there are dire consequences.
About 600 pupils were engaged today bringing the number of beneficiaries to a little over three thousand.
The campaign is part of a child-friendly Policing strategy of the Volta Police Command to keep the children safe while they go on vacation and beyond.
Mr Eric Opoku Bamfo, the Deputy Headmaster of the UHAS Basic School thanked the Regional Police Command for organizing the engagement with the school.
According to him, the Police should continue such engagements on other crime-related topics since that appears to be a more proactive measure to dealing with crime.
