Dormaa West Constituency: If You Are A Voter And NPP Brings You Goodies Take But Vote Against The Party—MP Advises Electorate
Honourable Vincent Oppong Asamoah
NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC Congress (NDC) in the Dormaa West Constituency of the Bono Region, Honourable Vincent Oppong Asamoah has accused the members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of massively engaging in the bribery and corruption campaign sprees in the Dormaa West.

"Come to Dormaa West Constituency and
see what NPP members are sharing, when Honourable Vincent Oppong Asamoah is going round showing handworks. The MP is working assiduously to eradicate poverty of the people in the constituency," Honourable Asamoah raised red flag.
According to the lawmaker, because the members of the ruling NPP have not done any monumental project in the ten (10) electoral areas within the constituency and thought that they don’t have campaign messages for the electorates, there were interested sharing goodies to the voters
and influence them to vote for the NPP.
But speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com in the sideline during the commissioning of the 10 seater water closet toilet facility at Diabaakrom, the hardworking MP stated that God forbid, adding that he hopes that thing will not happen.

Mincing no words, the MP advised the electorates in the area to accept gifts given to them by members of the governing NPP but vote against them at the December 7 2024 polls.
He indicated that since the NPP purchased such gifts with monies meant for developing the Dormaa West Constituency or the country as a whole, the electorate must feel no guilt in accepting them.
"Because the NPP  has not done any work in the Dormaa West enclave, you see that they don’t have a good message for the constituents so you will see that the members of the ruling NPP will come, they will come with propaganda; but most importantly they will come with goodies," the MP hinted.

He has given the hint that the NPP would visit the electoral areas with gifts such as sowing machines, motorbikes and money.
“…My advice to you is that, when they come, collect the motorbikes, sewing machines; and collect the monies and spend it very well because this is your own money, this is money they should have used to develop you, so collect it, it’s your money.”

"The election campaigns have started and you see you will see them coming with it in trucks, when they come collect it, it is the money that they should have used for the schools, roads, hospitals, water, toilet and sanitation facilities;  the money that they should have used to subsidize fertilizer, they have not done that, they have chopped this money and they have now come to bribe you with this money to be able to vote for them.

"However l am urging you that muster courage to take the goodies and vote for Honourable Vincent Oppong Asamoah and former President John Drama I Mahama we are only leaders who can bring change in the country," the MP noted.
Honourable Asamoah stressed that NPP members in the constituency cannot have a more reasonable debate with him about the track records of the social and infrastructural development projects and programmes in the constituency.
The NDC MP stressed that under his administration for the two term as the MP who represents the constituency in Parliament, in he has done so much better than the NPP in terms of bringing social and  infrastructural intervention development projects and programmed in the area.
According to him, the NPP members in the area have nothing in forms of the projects and programmes to show that they had initiated in the ten electoral area which gear towards the improvement of the living conditions of the  constituents.

He stressed that all what the members of the ruling NPP are interested was come to the electoral to influence the eligible voters with the goodies and asked them to vote for the NPP, adding that "pockets of information available clearly show that these are various electioneering campaigns that they were engaging in Dormaa West Constituency."

According to him, since he assumed office as MP in the area, the constituency benefits development in health, sanitation, hygiene, water, education, roads, social welfare, and many projects, adding that the constituency progressing in social and infrastructure development under his good MP leadership.
He stated that every investment that he made in terms of social and infrastructural life-changing development projects and programmes were geared towards the development of the teeming youths in the area.
