The new media professional training school known as the Serious Media College (SMC) being located at Awutu Breku in the Central Region has hit Ghanaian media cycle in the country.
The College was approved by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to effectively run six months duration programmes or courses in the general news writing, news casting, news reporting, sports presentation, commentary, disk jokery (DJ), public relations, media law and ethics, marketing and broadcasting Journalism including practicals.
After the six months, the prospective students would be awarded by credible and recognize media certificate which he/she can be used to seek jobs in any media organization in the country of his/her areas of skills and experiences.
However, there is admission in progress and that the interested potential candidates to rush to purchase the forms to enrol in the school to perform media academic excellence.
Speaking in an interview with journalists on Wednesday July 6, 2022, the Managing Director (MD) of Serious Media College, Dr. Evans Darko stated that the college is poised to eliminate quark and unprofessional journalism in the country.
According to him, he school has approval by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to run the courses and stressed the urgent need for all the interested potential candidates to enrol now with the Serious Media College to get media professional success in their lives.
He reiterated that the College is located in Awutu Breku in the Central Region and the motto of the school is Excellence Our Priority."
