Fetteh Salt Industry Land Owners Speak! -Warns Kwesi Alhaji And His Gunmen To Stay Away From The Land
Nana Essel, Secretary to Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool addressing the journalists
Members and elders of the Abor Twidan Royal family of the Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, who are original or rightful owners of the vast land for which the Fetteh Salt Industry Limited is operating salt mining activity at Fetteh, has broken their silence.

According to elders, the stranger Kwesi Alhaji and his gummen had made the wrong move in assaulting the workers of the company on that piece of land; expressing the naivety of Kwesi Alhaji and his follower to the truth as far as the ownership of the land is concerned.
They pointed out that the land on which those workers were brutalized by Kwesi Alhajis’s gun men was acquired genuinely from the late Nana Abor Ewusie XIX who was then the legitimate Chief and the occupant of Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool and has been registered at the Regional Lands Commission in the name of Fetteh Salt Industry Limited.

At a charged press conference held by elders of Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool, clouded in red armbands, head scarfs to set the records straight and to disabuse the minds of the people from the lies Kwesi Alhaji and his followers imputed at their recent press conference, the Royal Secretary to the Gomoa Fetteh Royal Stool, Nana Essel noted that the Abor Twidan Royal family decided to wade into the dispute because they are *Grantors and custodians* of the said land for which Fetteh Salt Industry Limited is operating on.

He indicated that the Abor Twidan  Royal family of Gomoa Fetteh also has evidence to prove the fact that the said land belongs to them and not to Kwesi Alhaji and followers as claimed by them.
Nana Essel provided documentary proof to back his claim that the land in question belongs to the stool of which the Abor Twidan  Royal family is the occupant.
This was contained in a strong worded press statement signed by the Managing Director of Fetteh Salt Industry Limited, Mr. Amos Appiah which was in response to a series of search made on the said land  in Lands Commission.

In that statement, the management of Fetteh Salt Industry Limited, a wholly registered salt and real estate company in Gomoa Fetteh have debunked allegations made by Kwesi Alhaji that workers of the salt industry were land-guards and attempted to attack him on Wednesday October 12, 2022.
"The Fetteh Salt Industry Limited wishes to inform the general public to debunk the news circulating in the air by some TV and Radio stations that the police have arrested about 12 land guards at Kasoa Millennium City.
"In that report it was reported that it is some Kwesi Alhaji who these land guards were after so he made his gun men arrested and handed them over to the police at the Central East Police Regional Headquarters, located at Millennium City.

"The general public must ridicule this news and treat it with the highest contempt it deserves because the young men they are calling land guards are not land-guards, rather, they are employees of Fetteh Salt Industry and have been taken through necessary legal process by profiling them at the Police National Headquarters (CID) in Accra, " the company in a press statement copied to the Soireenews.com noted.
The statement which was signed by the Managing Director of Fetteh Salt Industry Limited, Mr. Amos Appiah, noted that the industry is into Real Estate Development and selling of properties.
The statement pointed out that land on which  those men were brutalized by Kwesi Alhajis’s gun men was acquired genuinely from the late Nana Abor Ewusie XIX who was then the legitimate Chief and the occupant of Gomoa Fetteh Stool and has been registered at the Regional Land Commission in the name of Fetteh Salt Industry Limited.

The statement stressed that Kwesi Alhaji is the Chief Land guard who is full of criminalities and all sort of inhumane acts.
According to the statement, Kwesi Alhaji imposes himself on Gomoa Fetteh people as Omankrado just to go about stealing people’s lands in the whole enclave even though he is never a native of Gomoa Fetteh.
The statement, therefore, emphasized that the general public should ignore, ridicule, debunk and treat those false news in the air with the highest contempt it deserves.
It would be recalled group of gunmen numbering about 10 has reportedly attacked workers of the Gomoa Fetteh Salt Industry Limited.
Twelve individuals sustained serious gunshot and machette wounds.
They were rushed to *a hospital Pentecost Convention Centre* for medical treatment.
The incident occured on Wednesday when workers had reported to work in the morning to begin their daily routing.
Several Directors of the company have signed petition to get the attention of the Inspector General of Police to conduct thorough investigations into the incident.
In a letter dated 13th October, 2022  and signed by the Director of the company, Amos Appiah, he debunked accusations that the workers are landguards.
He however accused Kwesi Alhaji, said to be the ' self-aclaimed Mankrado' of Gomoa Fetteh for contesting over same land, hence leading to the attack.
Police officers called to bring the situation under control are also said to have wrongfully arrested some of the workers over accusations that they are land-guards.
The statement indicated the injured, many of whom are security guards and administrative staff, were there to protect the property and the over 3000 acres of lands at the site.
Management of the company, who reported the matter to the Central East Regional Police Command - Kasoa, have subsequently requested the attention and presence of the Police to protect the company and its staff.
Mr. Amos Appiah also called on the National Security Minister, Albert Kan Dapaah and the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare to swoop the area and arrest all individuals involved in land-guard activities in order to protect the lands from encroachment.
Earlier, another press conference held by the Gomoa Fetteh Royal Family on Wednesday, acused Kwesi Alhaji of eroding the progress made in the area following the protracted chieftaincy disputes.
Spokesperson for the Royal family, Nana Essel said the family will insist that the  *self acclaimed Mankrado*' steps down claiming he is not the true occupant to the stool.
In a five-point agenda, the Royal family said  Queen mother, Ohembaa Amoasina Nkrabea I, who has reigned since 1989, is alive and still on the stool but another Queen mother has been installed.
There is presently an "Omankrado in Gomoa Fetteh but another one has been installed. Again, another Chief of the royal family and Abusuapanyin have all been replaced by a rival chief and Abusuapanyin respectively”.
"Now the elders and Kingmakers of Gomoa Fetteh do not accept anything untraditional and for that matter we do not recognise these people as chiefs.Usually these lead to numerous gunmen into the town and they sound several gun shots causing fear and panic an nobody takes them on," Nana Essel emphasized.
