I am not moved by negative comments –Adu Safowaah on Speech- A-Thon

Since making her declaration a month ago, the outspoken actress has drawn criticism, but she claims she is unaffected by it.

In a conversation with Graphic Showbiz, she stated that she is a person who pursues her goals without hesitation.

"Those who are not in favor of what I want to achieve should stop wasting their time because it is not going to happen. When I set out to do anything, nothing stops me. Nothing will prevent me from holding my Speech-A-Thon at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel from February 7–14, 2024. I know this will go well because my team and I have been preparing for it for a while," she said.

In spite of the criticism she faces, Adu-Safowaah claimed that not many people firmly supported her.

"A few calls have come in from my fellow actresses, expressing their admiration for what I'm going to accomplish and wishing me success. Sing-A-Thon, Cook-A-Thon, and now Speech-A-Thon all coming up, and I need more assistance from Ghanaians,” the woman stated.

When asked what topics she would cover during her eight-day Speech-A-Thon, Adu Safowaah replied that she would be promoting Ghana, highlighting its natural beauty, cuisine, rich culture, and regional dialect, as well as urging people living abroad to visit Ghana frequently.

Adu Safowaah informed Graphic Showbiz that she will be taking five-minute breaks every hour and twenty-minute breaks every four hours while working on the project.

"My medical team and everyone else I need to assist me break the Speech-A-Thon record have been practicing alongside me. I plan to surpass the 90 hours and 2 minutes that Ananta Ram from Nepal established in 2018 as the current Speech-A-Thon record. "I'll make Ghana famous and I have a lot of things planned once I achieve fame," she declared.

When asked how much fun it will be and why she decided to do a Speech-A-Thon in the first place, Adu Safowaah said that she wanted to make people aware of Ghana.

"To start with, I like to talk a lot, and talking about Ghana and what we have as a nation is really the greatest way to market it. It won't be dull at all. I'll make it fun. "I want Ghanaians to enjoy what I do, but I don't want to give more details about what will happen during those eight days," she continued.
