Kofi Akpaloo says he was not denied entry into the Manhyia Palace as speculated.

According to the flagbearer of the Liberty Party of Ghana, he could not pay a courtesy call to the Asantehene due to the change in itinerary.

“We were supposed to come last Friday but we received a later notice from the palace, suggesting that we should reschedule our visit to Wednesday,” he told Joy News.

“However, we got here last night and the personal secretary to Otumfuo said it’s not going to be possible because of some customs they have to perform.

He continued that his fans amassed at the front gate of the Manhyia Palace to convince the authorities to have a change of mind but it was futile.

“But my people had been organized already, we’ve all come all over from Accra to this place and it would have been inappropriate not to go there. So we decided to go there to see if they might reconsider their decision.

Akpaloo and his running mate, Margaret O’Brien took to the Ash Town Park to reveal his message and what Ghanaians must consider before visiting the polls on December 7, 2020.

He addressed his willingness to fertilize the Ghanaian economy to the extent that children and the youth would receive social security payment.

“When I become President, children will receive monies as child benefits to better their future. Every kid would be paid c200 cedis from my government. So you can calculate the number of your children and know the amount you’ll receive when you vote for me to be president."
