Ivory Coast announces plan to triple forest cover
The project will be financed with $149 million (£123 million) by the World Bank.
By 2030, the Ivory Coast plans to increase its forest cover by three times.
In the past 50 years, it has lost almost all of its woods, mostly due to cocoa plantations.
20% of Ivory Coast is the target area for the project.
Additionally, it will strengthen protection for national parks, including one of West Africa's few remaining areas of primary tropical rainforest.
The project will be financed with $149 million (£123 million) by the World Bank.
