She voiced concern about the lack of cooperation amongst industry participants, highlighting the fact that this was impeding the potential expansion of the film business.

Speaking recently on Graphic Showbiz's X Dialogue Series, Ms. Asante bemoaned the obvious lack of collaboration among Ghanaian filmmakers and urged them to combine their resources to create films of a caliber that could compete on a global scale.

Along the whole film production and distribution chain, from product placement and marketing to distribution and investor attraction, she emphasized the importance of unity and teamwork.

There is undue and excessive competitiveness at the moment. To grow our business, we must deliberately consider how all parties involved in the supply chain—from investors and filmmakers to marketing, distribution, and product placement—can collaborate.

"Movie makers don't collaborate enough. For example, if I have GH¢5,000 and another filmmaker has GH¢5,000, we can pool our resources to create something significant rather than using our individual funds for separate projects. "Let's pool our resources," she suggested.

Drawing attention to the fragmented status of the business at the moment, the NFA head stated that cooperation was essential to overcoming the obstacles Ghanaian filmmakers faced.

Ms. Asante emphasized that filmmakers should concentrate on conserving and presenting the rich Ghanaian culture in their productions.

"Observe the cinema's gentle influence. Let's use it to spread awareness of our culture and convey our narrative. Through movies, the American dream was promoted in its entirety. While some societies boldly market theirs, we ought to follow suit. She clarified, "Let's resist being misled into accepting alien culture at the price of our own.
