Lionel Messi refused to speak about his future at Barcelona with his current contract due in six months’ time.

The Argentine is having a challenging season with the Blaugranas and as part of a Christmas special, he sats for an interview with Jordi Evole for LaSexta cited on Marca, the former World Best player believes his performances have been obstructed with the events which unfolded with his decision to leave the club.

Messi sent a burofax to the Barcelona president then, Josep Bartomeu and declared his desire to leave the club but after been reminded to fulfil his part of the agreement else face legal issues, he adhered and held on for one more year.

According to him, winning trophies is his focus as a player.

"I'm fine today, and I feel like seriously fighting for everything that's ahead of us," Messi said.
