“My dead Father’s spirit will fight for me” - Obour
The former MUSIGA boss has said his dead fathers spirit will fight for him over false accusations levelled at him.
Former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGHA), Bice Osei Kufuor popularly known as "Obour", who lost his father to the Coronavirus pandemic last week Friday at the Ridge Hospital in Accra has said that his father's dead spirit will avenge him over the false allegations that have been levied at him.
Obour's father passed away on the 25th of March, 2020 and sources at the hospital revealed that the musician failed to reveal the details of his father’s travel history. Obour denied the accusations, stating that he indeed informed them as there would be no point to hiding the vital information that maybe could have saved his father's life.
He took to his Instagram page to say that God will speak for him after the sudden demise of his father. “The spirit of God and the spirit of my dead father will not stay mute over all these false accusations…. God will speak for me.”
Obour released a statement on Friday shortly after his father's demise to corroborate his words. He said " Nana returned from UK on 19th March after his yearly visit to the family. Upon his return he was fine but began coughing on Sunday 22nd.
“We arranged for his blood sample to be tested and he tested positive for malaria.
“We began treatment for malaria but his condition got worse. We arranged to bring him to Accra to be tested for Covid 19 at Ridge Hospital on Wednesday. They informed us that his report will be ready on Friday but we should keep him in quarantine which we did”.
