Two heavy trucks have crashed on Akosombo to Tema road causing heavy vehicular traffic for motorists and other road users.
The near-fatal accident occurred before 7:00 am today, June 29, 2021, leaving workers and travellers stranded on the stretch.
The accident involved a Kia Rhino truck and a mini truck that were suspected to have overtaken each other during the time.
They both veered off the road and entered into a monkey sanctuary just after the Shai Hills area and a stone throw to Asutsuare junction.
One of the accident vehicles has the bucket of the vehicle blocked the road with the front in the bush causing a gridlock.
