NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, has disclosed that first phase of Safe Alternative Housing Project for the victims who were worst affected due to the Akosombo dam spillage will be ready for commissioning in a few days.

In a post by Honourable Okudzeto Ablakwa, the hard working MP noted that some 300 VRA-induced flood victims putting up in congested classrooms can now have their dignity restored as they prepare to move into decent modern accommodation.

"We are eternally grateful to Construction Ambassadors — a subsidiary of the First Sky Group, our chiefs for donating free land, and members of my Alternative Housing Committee for making this possible. 

"We shall start work on our second alternative housing project very shortly. 

"Remember that no one will be asked to pay rent for these houses. 

"I shall never ever abandon my distressed people. In this together, rising together," the MP stressed.
