Police Woman Stabbed at Damongo: Ghc10,000 Reward for Information Leading to Arrest of Suspect

Constable Sandra Asiedu was discovered stabbed to death in her room on Monday, August 2, 2021, and investigations are ongoing for the arrest of her suspected boyfriend.

An amount of ten thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 10,000.00) has been named as a reward for any person, other than a law enforcement officer, who furnishes information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Constable Sandra Asiedu at Damongo in the Savannah region. 

The amount was pledged by Hon. Lawyer Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.

He made the pledge through the Savannah Regional Minister, Hon. Muhazu Saeed when he led a team of NPP Constituency executives to commiserate with the Police on 3rd August 2021.

According to Soireenews Savannah Regional Correspondent - Abdul Sammed Gurundari, the policewoman is stationed at Damango in West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.

It is alleged that her boyfriend committed the act and is on a manhunt by the Police.

The identity of the supposed boyfriend is currently unknown but snippets of information indicate he travelled from Obuasi in the Ashanti region to visit Constable Sandra Asiedu.

He is at large and the Police are on a manhunt for the culprit.
