Manchester United’s interest in Van De Beek has been officially confirmed by Ajax chief, Edwin Van der Sar.

Real Madrid has been monitoring the 23-year-old and stands favorite to land the Dutch yet the financial uncertainty plaguing European teams keeps the deal open.

The midfielder is valued in the region of £46million and the English club has been scouting him for some time now yet the decision to purchase for such an amount is yet to be decided.

According to the Mirror, the former Manchester United goalkeeper has made known that the Red Devils have shown interest.

"It's clear that clubs like Real Madrid and United are showing interest in Donny van de Beek," he said speaking to Dutch outlet NOS.
