Sack Ejisu MCE Now NPP Executives Appeal To President Akufo-Addo

Tension is seriously brewing in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ejisu Constituency of the Ashanti Region following the call on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by some aggrieved polling station executives of the NPP to immediately relieve on the duty post of the current Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu Municipal Assembly, Mr. Samuel Frimpong.

Tension is seriously brewing in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ejisu Constituency of the Ashanti Region following the call on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by some aggrieved polling station executives of the NPP to immediately relieve on the duty post of the current Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu Municipal Assembly, Mr. Samuel Frimpong.
According to them, the MCE has meted gross disrespect to the delegates of the NPP in the area, the situation which has compiled the delegates numbering over 2,000 staged a demonstration in the Ejisu constituency cladded in white NPP colors on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. 
According to the delegates, the behavior of the Municipal Chief Executive in the past months does not represent someone who has the party and the government at heart.
“This MCE has disappointed us, He has betrayed the Member of Parliament for this constituency, he does not project the good works of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and he is only interested in promoting his brother who is the current Managing Director (MD) of Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to contest as an MP in Ejisu,” one of the demonstrators, Mr. Andrews Anokye told journalists.
The demonstration was attended by various polling stations and zonal executives of the New Patriotic Party in Ejisu, who are displeased with the misconduct of the MCE, Mr. Samuel Frimpong. 
A formal petition calling for the dismissal of the MCE  is expected to be submitted to President Akuffo-Addo and the member of parliament for the area, Dr. John Amponfuah Kumah.
