Small scale miners forcibly taken our concessions - Adumanu residents cry

Adumanu in the Adansi north district of the Ashanti region are bitterly complaining about how small-scale miners have invaded the community

Some residents who are into community mining at  Adumanu in the Adansi north district of the Ashanti region are bitterly complaining about how small-scale miners have invaded the community.

According to them they have tried all possible means to curb the operations and the menace the activities have caused but their efforts are yielding no results.

It is been recalled that the government has allocated some concessions for the residents of Adumanu for community mining.

Soireenews engaging the youths stated that their concessions are been encroached upon by some people purported to be small-scale galamsey operators.

According to them, they cannot sit aloof for those galamsey operators to take over their lands. 

They are therefore calling on the government and the security agencies to intervene and flush out the operators of the small-scale mining.

Meanwhile, Mr. Akwasi Adom, Former Npp Vice Chairman for Fomena Constituency said authorities must act as early as possible to avert any peril in the community.
