Stonebwoy, Fancy Gadam & DJ Switch all bagged Awards at the 2020 edition of the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) that was held in Jamaica.

The accolade was Stonebowy’s first of the year 2020, and the BET award winner has added another international award to his cabinet.

He announced it on his Twitter page, as he was obviously elated to have won the prestigious awards against all odds.

Fancy Gadam also won the Best Afrobeat Entertainer of the year while DJ Switch claimed the Best Young Entertainer. Stonebwoy beat the likes of Grammy nominated "African Giant" Burna Boy, Nigeria's Patoranking, and Ghana's Shatta Wale to clinch the ward.

This year’s edition of the IRAWMA was scheduled for March 29, 2020 at the AC Marriott in Kingston Jamaica. But was moved up one week earlier due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

IRAWMA was prerecorded, made for TV and Radio broadcast in observation of the Jamaican government’s, social distancing strategy of three to six feet.

Mr Ephraim Martin, the President of the IRAWMA said that the winners who could not pick up their awards may have them shipped to them. He said "Not knowing how long the Coronavirus will be around, with us now three months into the best of 2020, gives us no room to postpone or delay the 2019 achievements of these outstanding reggae and world music entertainers."

"Unfortunately, this year, the awards cannot be given in a public event; but at a convenient time, the 2020 winners, who could not pick up their awards, may have them shipped to them.

“We look forward to the next year’s 39th IRAWMA on March 28, 2021, when we can return to normalcy and the IRWMA's can again be presented on stage," he added.
