Natives and road users of Taha Madina in the Tamale South Municipal in the Northern Region, are complaining over the deplorable nature of their roads.

A visit to the Taha Madina community revealed most businesses have closed, and houses along the roads are covered in dust.

The inhabitants who spoke to Soiree News stated that the dusty nature of the road is affecting their businesses.

They revealed that the situation even gets more serious during the rainy season as the road becomes unmotorable and very risky to play on.

Again the road is so bad with rough surfaces, making driving very difficult especially when sending sick people to the hospital.

Drivers, especially, commercial ones often try to dodge the numerous potholes on the road, putting the lives of pedestrians and passengers in danger. It poses great danger and a lot of health implications on them too.

The Residents say they have been appealing to successive governments to rehabilitate their deplorable road network for them but these appeals have not yielded any positive results.

The residents say the government should renovate or put the roads into a better shape.
