The Takoradi circuit court A, presided over by His Honor Michael Cudjoe Ampadu has adjourned the case of Josephine Payin Simons, the 27- years old supposed pregnant woman who was allegedly kidnapped in Takoradi in the Western Region from 16th of September 2021 to 11th November 2021.

The adjournment follows the unavailability of the prosecution to provide some documents needed to start the case management conference.

Also, the absence of the substantive prosecutor, Superintendent Emmanuel Basintale contributed to the adjournment of the case

Josephine Simons Mensah appeared in court very healthy and smartly dressed in a pink dress with sneakers to match.

Recalling the event, a missing person flyer with a picture of Josephine Panyin Mensah began circulating on social media. It stated that she was nine months pregnant and had gone missing since the 16th of September 2021.

News later broke of her reappearance on the 21st of September 2021.

She was, however, found without a pregnancy or a baby.

Upon thorough investigation, it was revealed that she was never pregnant hence becoming the suspect of her own case.
