The New Patriotic Party (NPP) members in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency have threatened to vote ‘skirt and blouse’ (vote for the party’s flagbearer and sideline the parliamentary candidate) – should the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Honorable Sarah Adwoa Safo, fail to contest as an independent candidate.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) members in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency have threatened to vote ‘skirt and blouse’ (vote for the party’s flagbearer and sideline the parliamentary candidate) – should the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Honorable Sarah Adwoa Safo, fail to contest as an independent candidate.

Speaking to some aggrieved members said, they are not going to sit aloof for certain people to dodge democracy and instead use demonic means to achieve their selfish goals.

Over 600 members have been removed from the party’s album.

"We want to signal a strong warning to the old executive and their cohorts that they are not the only men within the constituency. They should watch out if they want to show manhood.

According to the constituency Coordinator Hopeful, Mr. Alhaji Ibrahim has advised the party leadership to ensure that the grassroots have confidence and Fairness in the elections taking place at the polling station level.

To him, elections are lost and won at the polling station and therefore the party stands to lose if the elections at that level do not give confidence to the grassroots of the political party.

He called on the leadership of the party should ensure that they are fair in their dealings so it doesn’t come back to haunt them in the future.

He added that the party’s determination to break the ‘8’ year governance cycle is doable if members remain united.

The NPP deserves to stay in power beyond 2024 to consolidate the gains of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration.
