Uganda musician, Cindy Sanyu has shared her feeling about the arrest of Nigerian singers Omah Lay and Tems in Uganda.

According to her, the Uganda government has banned all form of social gatherings which serves as revenue for the artist in the country.

However, a foreigner was able to fly to the country to organise a concert which saw many people.

The people break all covid 19 rules, no social distancing, no facemask which can lead to the spread of the virus.

She continued that, the lockdown in the country has affected many artists including herself, leading some also to bankrupt.

Yet a foreigner has the audacity to order a concert in the country

In her own words, she said: ''these idoits has the gust to organise a concert and posted online.

Recall that the Omah Lay and Tems were whisked away by the Uganda Police for performing in a crowded concert against the rules of the country that set up laws to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Yesterday, Omah Lay tweeted their ordeal, many Nigerians have however called for their release.

It was further gathered that Omah Lay and Tems were likely going to face 7-year imprisonment in Uganda.

According to Uganda law, any negligency that will lead to the spread of infectious diseases according to C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act will serve 7-year jail term.

The unauthorised concert was held in Ddungu Resort in Munyonyo, Kampala City.

The culprits are currently under remand and will be arranged before the court on Wednesday 16 December 2020.
