Jamie Vardy is reported to have committed his future to Leicester City according to the Daily Telegraph.

The 33-year-old mammoth contribution in the club has earned him a pay rise and a year’s extension to his current contract, which was due to expire in two years’ time.

The Englishman was the winner of the Premier League Golden boot, first in the history of the club following his 23 goals.

Vardy succeeded Mohamed Salah who won back to back titles, with the former sharing the award with fellow mate, Mane, and Arsenal’s Aubameyang.

“I think Jamie's been outstanding for us - our Player of the Season,” Rodgers added. “He knows he can't do it without his team-mates, but he also knows, and the team know, that they couldn't have done it without him and challenge.

“So, 23 goals for everything that he brings, I'm absolutely delighted for him, and obviously we're all very happy for him.”

Leicester will play in the Europa League next season after they lost their fourth spot to Manchester United on the final matchday.
