VGMA is 22 Years, 3Music Awards Is Barely 5 - Kwesi Ernest

Kwesi Ernest has called on critics to stop downplaying Diana Hamilton's big win at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

The gospel artiste bagged the biggest plaque at the awards night by beating other artists to the Artiste of the Year award.

Rumours started flying that highlife artiste, KiDi, would have won it but because he had already won the biggest awards at 3Music's award night it was given to Diana Hamilton instead.

According to the rumours, the VGMA did not want to honour the same artiste that 3Music had already honoured because of beef both awards schemes have.

Kwesi Ernest has now said that these types of rumours belittle the work that Diana Hamilton has done.

He noted that there cannot be a rivalry between the two awards scheme because they are not mates; VGMA is 22 years old while 3Music awards are just barely 5 he noted.

The entertainment crutch further joked that anyone who is not happy with Diana Hamilton's win should come and take vitamin C from his car or buy a plaque and present it to KiDi themselves.

“Anybody who is not satisfied with Diana Hamilton winning Artiste of the Year can come and take Vitamin C from my car and drink."

"For your information, the Artiste of the Year plaque is with Diana Hamilton in her house. If you think KiDi was the winner, go and buy a plaque at Mallam Atta market and present it to him." He joked.

Kwesi Ernest further noted that Ghanaians are myopic, which is why they cannot see the work that Diana Hamilton has done.

He highlighted that Diana Hamilton did things that KiDi didn't do on the international stage by selling out shows in Ghana and London.
