Yemi Alade: Nobody can pressure me to get married
Yemi Alade, a well-known singer from Nigeria, has stated that she is not under any pressure to get married.

The 34-year-old Yemi Alade made this revelation in her most recent Lagos interview with Cool FM.
Yemi stated that while there is always a hurry to tie the knot at the end of the year, she will advise young women to avoid giving in to social pressure to choose the wrong spouse.
The artist counseled single women not to become inspired by the thought of marriage, but to make sure they are marrying the right person.
According to Alade, marriages are common, particularly near the conclusion of the year. I don't sense any pressure. It will happen when the timing is right, and I want to inspire young women who are single to be inspired by the thought of marriage rather than to succumb to peer pressure.
Giving advice to women, she stated, "It can be difficult to resist family pressure since it comes from people you look up to and respect, who are pushing for you to get married. Finding the proper partner is more important than getting married, so if they truly have your best interests at heart, I think they will be patient with you.
Beyond that, though, I don't believe someone should hastily choose to be with the wrong spouse.
