Residents of  Ada Traditional Area in the Ada West District of the Greater Accra Region have denied an alleged attack on the workers of Electrochem Ghana Limited.

However, the chiefs and elders of Ada in a protest indicated that the perpetrators' were nonresidents of Ada but were imported thugs from the Ashaiman.

According to them, they are in full support of the project and could not in any way rise against it.

Meanwhile, the Ada chiefs have accused Nii Kotei Dzani, a former Council of State member who doubles as Director of the defunct Ideal Finance and the destooled Libi Wornor, of being the brain behind the mayhem.

They have thus, called on the Police to speed up investigations into recent attacks on Songor Salt Project.
